Membership Requirements
You qualify for membership if you meet one of the following
- If you reside in, are employed in, attend school in, or worship in Clatsop, Columbia, and western Washington Counties in Oregon, or Pacific County in Washington; or
- You’re a business, organization, or legal entity within the three counties; or
- You’re an immediate family or household member* of any current Wauna Credit Union member

Each of our members is an equal owner, which means we return profits to members in the form of lower loan rates, higher savings yields, and lower fees. Each of our members are part owners of our cooperative, regardless of how much or how little you have on deposit with us.

*Immediate family is defined as spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, or grandchild. This includes stepparents, stepchildren, stepsiblings, and adoptive relationships. Household is defined as persons living in the same residence maintaining a single economic unit. It is not necessary for the person eligible for primary membership to join the Credit Union in order for the immediate family or household members to join as long as the primary individual is within the Credit Union's Field of Membership.
**Once a person becomes a member of the Credit Union, such a person may remain a member of the Credit Union until the person chooses to withdraw or is expelled from the membership of the Credit Union. A $5.00 share is required to maintain membership. A member who withdraws all shareholdings or fails to restore their account balance to par value within 1 month of reducing the balance below par share, either through voluntary withdrawal of funds or through involuntary assessment of fees and charges, ceases to be a member.
