What
do I need to connect to Online Banking?
All You Need To Use Online Banking is …..
— Connection to the internet, such as through an Internet Service Provider (ISP).
— Operating System: Windows 98 or newer.
— Frame-capable Internet browser software. Although other browsers may work, only current versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator are supported by Online Banking.
— The browser must use 128-bit encryption. (Check the encryption level, from the Help menu, choose Help About…..and look for a cipher strength or “high-grade security” indicating 128- bit strength.)
— Cookies must be turned on to use Online Banking.
Remember that as security requirements and the Internet world changes, so will these requirements. If you have trouble accessing Online Banking features, the first step is always to upgrade your browser software.

Upgrade
Your Browser
Wauna Online Banking requires
a Web Browser that is either Microsoft
Internet Explorer 3.02 or higher or Netscape 4.04
or higher. Click the links below to upgrade your browser to get the best performance
out of Online Banking. Choose a browser below based on your type of computer.
Security
Encryption
The Internet browser
you are using must have at least 128-bit
encryption. To determine if your browser
supports 128-bit encryption, do the following:
- For all versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer,
go to Help and About or About Internet Explorer and
you will see a line titled "Cipher Strength." On this
line will be the type of encryption supported.
- For Netscape 6.X go to Help and About Netscape and
you will see a line listing the encryption supported.
Earlier versions of Netscape can only tell you by going
to Netscape's WEB site, which has a file to tell you
how to find the encryption strength.
You may be asked to accept a security certificate to
your system. You MUST accept the security certificate
to use online banking. It is recommended that you accept
a permanent security certificate to your system so you
only see this message once. When you have completed
this process, you will be at the Online Banking start
page.
I'm
not sure how to do something. What do I do?
Go to the Options drop-down and click on "Help."
The Help screen has a help option for each transaction
offered. Just click on the appropriate transaction and
follow the instructions provided. If you still have
questions, please feel free to phone or stop by the
branch for further assistance.
Is
it important to Log Out?
Logging out is a good habit to get into. Individuals
with constant Internet connection (DSL) should always
"Log Out." If you use a modem, the connection would
automatically be disconnected when you shut down your
computer. However, Logging Out will end your connection
to the secured web site immediately.
I
did a transfer and my balances didn't change.
Your account balances are updated when you request
them to be refreshed or you go back to the balance screen.
Be sure to click the "Refresh balance" link on
the Successfully Transferred page. This will take you
back to the Balance page where you will see the updated
balances. This can also be done by returning to the
"Balances" page.
Is
there anything I can do to help with the security of
my online banking transactions?
Yes, there are three things you can do:
- Make sure that your Windows operating system has the latest critical updates
installed. You can do this by going to your START button, clicking on the
PROGRAMS, and then WINDOWS UPDATE. If the Windows Update is not there, go
to Microsoft's WEB site at WWW.MICROSOFT.COM and select Windows Products
and then find your version of Windows and follow the links to the appropriate
update site. Make sure that all critical updates (critical updates also include
security updates to the Windows Operating system), have been downloaded and
installed on your system. Check the Windows Update site for your version
of Windows frequently to insure that you have all the latest critical updates.
- Using the latest version of Netscape or Internet Explorer will increase
your security. Both Microsoft and Netscape put the latest security technology
into their most current version.
- Be aware that even though you have the latest version of Netscape and Internet
Explorer, that both Microsoft and Netscape release security patches frequently.
Check their WEB sites for their browsers on a regular basis. If there is
a new security update download and install by their instructions. Following
these steps will help increase the security of your online banking transactions.
MISCELLANEOUS
ITEMS TO NOTE
- Help Screens are available for each transaction.
- Several incorrect access codes attempts will lock you out of the account.
- DO NOT use your Debit Card PIN. It is not affiliated with the phone and
Internet Access Code.
- DO NOT send confidential information via e-mail.
- Online Banking site may be temporarily unavailable during month end processing.
