Share Club membership offers a $10,000 Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance Plan that covers the policyholder anytime, anywhere, for loss resulting from injury covered under the policy.

Share Club also offers a Common Carrier Benefit of $100,000. This covers for loss of life due to an injury while the policyholder is (a) a passenger on, boarding, or alighting from a Common Carrier; or (b) traveling directly to or from an airport immediately before departure or after arrival of the scheduled aircraft or military transport aircraft; or (c) struck by an aircraft.

The member must be a Share Club member and complete the Share Club Application to apply for these insurance plans.

Visa Classic cardholders are eligible for up to $250,000 Common Carrier AD&D coverage according to the following policy: A Covered Trip means a trip (a) while the Covered Person is riding on a Common Carrier as a passenger (not as a pilot, operator or crew member); and (b) charged to the Covered Person’s eligible credit card; and (c) begins and ends at the places designated on the ticket purchased for the trip.

There is no additional application or enrollment form.The insurance is given to the member when their Visa is approved.

Members Whole Life insurance is offered through CUNA Mutual in coverage amounts from $1,000 to $10,000.

Term insurance is offered in coverage amounts from $25,000 to $1 million, for ages 50 – 69.

Guaranteed Level Term Life is offered to members aged 50 – 69, with guaranteed acceptance. Coverage amounts range from $788 to $16,422.

Underwritten Level Term Life is offered to members aged 50 – 69 in a simplified underwritten plan, with coverage from $813 to $15,600.

Hospital Accident Protection is designed to defray the high cost of hospitalization as a result of an accident.  To enroll, members can call (800) 860-7098.  Once enrolled, members will receive an insurance certificate.

The HAP plan provides cash benefits to participating members for each day they are hospitalized (up to one-year).  There are two levels of benefits - $100 per day or $200 per day, amounts that are doubled if the hospital stay is in intensive care.  The daily benefit is also payable for emergency room visits.

Family coverage is available that protects the other family members for various amounts, depending on the family structure.

Coverage is for covered accidents only; hospitalization due to sickness/disease is not covered.

This coverage can help bridge the gap in coverage that a major medical plan may not cover. The benefits are offered through Aflac. The coverage is available for individuals or families.

All of the policies will pay cash directly to the member, above and beyond any type of medical insurance that they already have in place.

Members Automobile Insurance is offered to WFCU’s membership through CUNA Mutual Insurance Agency, Inc. A member can call a toll-free number (1-888-380-9287) for free rate quotes.

Both insurance products are only available for loan coverage. Members need to approve this coverage with a loan officer at the time of loan origination. Restrictions apply to these policies.

The rates based on the dollar amount and number of signers on the loan. The premiums are added to the loan monthly based on the loan balance and are included in the monthly payment. The maximum amount of life insurance is $75,000.

Mechanical Breakdown Insurance is offered to our members to provide for repairs to a covered vehicle. The year, make, model and mileage of the vehicle will determine whether it qualifies and whether the coverage is the new or used policy. These criteria also determine the cost and term of the policy.

Guaranteed Auto Protection protects the member against financial loss in the event that a vehicle is damaged beyond repair or stolen. If the loan balance is higher than the actual value of the vehicle, the member is liable to pay the difference between the insurance settlement and the amount owed to the credit union. GAP insurance will cover the difference for the member.
